Housing sales up 9.6%

The latest Agency Express Property Activity Index shows:

"UK house sale growth stagnated in April in the run-up to the General Election. Nationally, the number of houses sold in April was 0.7% down on those sold in March but was still 9.6% up on April 2009..."

UK economic growth revised upwards

According to the Office of National Statistics:

"UK gross domestic product (GDP) in volume terms rose by 0.4 per cent compared with the previous quarter. This was revised from a rise of 0.3 per cent published last month..."
