Housing sales up 9.6%

The latest Agency Express Property Activity Index shows:

"UK house sale growth stagnated in April in the run-up to the General Election. Nationally, the number of houses sold in April was 0.7% down on those sold in March but was still 9.6% up on April 2009..."

96% in favour of full regulation of the SRB market

Bridgewater Equity Release has revealed the results of an academic survey conducted by Northumbria University with its support:

"The vast majority of respondents (96%) were wholly in favour of full regulation of the SRB market; currently the market is subject to interim regulation of which 75% of advisers were aware..."
